PACs

We have received two offers of money under PACs.

Our first offer was from Comcast. They offered us 350,000 dollars under the condition that we enforce this policy if our campaign wins:"We want you to endorse putting cell-phone blockers in all schools and vehicles so that students cannot be distracted during the day and drivers will pay attention."However, we have chosen to decline this offer. It is our belief that this errs too much on the controlling side. It is pretty extreme to block cellphones entirely in schools and vehicles even if it is for safety purposes. Schools have come to rely heavily upon the internet, and keeping students from using phones entirely will cause more problems than it will solve. As for banning cell phone usage while driving, although Comcast is correct that it can be dangerous, innovations have already been made to make calling in the car safer, such as using one's phone through a car speaker to make a call instead of holding the phone. Therefore, banning this would just be an inconvenience.

Our second offer was from The National Right to Life. As the name implies, this organization offered to give us 500,000 dollars if we opposed abortion in our campaign. This is already one of our party's main beliefs, so we accepted. To learn more about our view of abortion and other pressing topics, click here.
